Why headlights turn yellow
Most modern headlight lenses are made of plastic with a thin factory UV coating. Over years of sun exposure that coating breaks down, and the lens surface oxidizes into a hazy, yellow layer. It makes the whole car look older, and it cuts down how much light actually reaches the road at night.
